What's Going On...

I'm going to Japan!

September 24 2003  So like...heh.  I haven't' written anything here in a while.  I may do away with the section all together.  Not sure yet.  What's going on?  Plenty. I'm selling my house, going back to school for my Bachelors, and taking over the world! Bwaa-ha-haaaa!!  Wish me luck!

November 3, 2002  Oh gods! Woeful day!  Things aren't so spiffy 'round here.  I won't go in to detail 'cause I do my fair share of complaining elsewhere. Money is the bulk of my woe.  Mostly self inflicted. @_@  The good thing is that I learned this lesson now not 5 years from now.  I'll be able to look back and say: ' Jeez?! THAT was sure stupid!!' Mean while I'm selling everything that's not bolted down.  Sad, sad...yes I know.  I shall endure!! *gallops off on her mighty steed*

September 3, 2002  Man what a blah month August was! I didn't want death and chaos, but jeez...a little spice!  Okay so I had a chibi party at my house for my birthday... Other than that...::shrugs::  I'm still looking for a new job.  Had a few promising leads.  Still waiting.  I'm only weeks away from my long drive to Denver.  I don't have any art ready for Nan Desu Kan.  ::shakes head::  I'm pushing myself to get at least two Trugan pieces ready.  I hope, I hope! That's all from the front lines!

August 20, 2002  Happy Birthday to me! I had a MUCH better birthday this year. Stayed up all night watching my friend play Resident Evil.  I wonder what the game would be like if it was called Resident Good?  Heh...imagine the HORROR!

August 3, 2002   It's my birthday month yet again.  Things have been rocky these days.  Next month I'm heading north to visit relatives in Colorado. While there I will be attending Nan Desu Kan.  It's been 5 years since I attended the first Nan Desu Kon.  It will be interesting to see how the con has grown. I hope to add it to my list of reviews.

February 26, 2002  Here are some of my pictures from Japan.  The top two pictures are a part of the crew that attended Comiket 60.  The bottom pics left to right: A girl cosplaying as the main character from Spirited Away.  The fella in the center just cool damn cool! An EIGHT story anime store.  Glory to the gods!  Animate Rules! Vive le Anime! K-Book's was just too awesome to describe.  Wall to wall doujinshi.  The top floor was girls doujin and the bottom floor was boys.  I bought a few myself.

Kamakura

Kamakura was beautiful.  And you could just feel the  history radiating off everything! I loved passing by peoples homes and little noodle shops! The rural life was everything I expected and more.  I got to see a family get blessed by the monks and shine maidens in there cool looking red pants!!  I also made a few prayers to Buddha in an temple built in to a mountain.  Thanks Buddha!

Ebisu

This place was just cool!  In side the mall ( Aqua City - as seen in Yami no Matsuei ) I found a 'China Town' where the interior of the mall looked like the streets of China at night.  Very cool!  Oh! and a Toys R Us and a Cinnabon! I think the silver building was destroyed in some anime...where that ball part of the building fell off and rolled down the walkway.   I need to find the name of that show!

January 24, 2002  How ironic is that?! I'm putting some more info here on the 24th!  Anyhow...  Life has been an uphill battle.  My creativity has taken a back seat.  All my attentiveness to this web site has also taken a dive.  I need a job and I have bills to pay.  Ugh! u_u  I didn't get that new car I wanted.  I had to get a newer used car with less 'kick' than my beloved Vegeta.  Complications with my finances caused that.  My anime loving hasn't diminished, although the frequency of anime watching, etc has gone down. I try!  It's hard! Woe is me and all that stuff.  I'm praying to any god who will listen to allow me to succeed with year with no more accidents or bill collectors coming at me for money.  I also wish that my creativity would come back.  ::sigh::  Wish me luck everybody!

August 24, 2001  I'm back from Japan. I was so happy to be home - to be able to share my experiences with friends and to finally sleep in my own bed!  My birthday was right around the corner.  Everyone wanted to hear how things went.  We had our monthly anime club meeting. There was a Bar-B-Q on Sunday [Aug 19]. Things were great.

On August 19, 2001 at approximately 1:00 P.M. me and my friends Rinny and Holly were involved in a car accident on our way to that Bar-B-Q.  It was raining and the roads were slick.  The car in front of me slammed on the brakes. (found out later that some dummy further up the road had lost control and had caused  the car in front of me to react like that) I tried to avoid it  to no avail.  We slid across the wet grassy median in to on coming traffic at 70 m/ph.  Vegeta took much of the damage, but we all were pretty messed up. (If you don't already know my car was named Vegeta - personal plates and all)  Holly has a fractured pelvis, Rinny was rattled a bit, I had some whip lash.  ::sigh::  After I realized we all were gonna be okay - I reflected on the whole thing.  heh...Vegeta died in a blaze  of glory - taking the hit for us ladies....awww!  LOL!  If I can I'm gone get a new gold car - Super Saiyan Vegeta!  hee hee
